Transport Operations Manager
Clipper Logistics is one of the leading retail fulfilment businesses in the UK. With ability and agility at our core, our cutting edge operations allows us to provide world class customer service to customers such as John Lewis, River Island, Marks & Spencer and PrettyLittleThing.com
We really care about our employees and recognise that without capable individuals working together as a unit, we would not be where we are today. We therefore offer a host of developmental and progression opportunities to ensure we nurture our people, allowing them to grow with us.
Our Transport function is an integral part of our operations. We have recently won the transport contract with Edinburgh Woollen Mill and Peacocks and as a result, are looking to recruit a Transport Operations Manager to join our team in Nantgarw, near Cardiff.
This is a highly visible role which will offer the most ambitious of candidates a platform to not only showcase your existing ability, but to add further strings to your bow and be afforded a host of training and development opportunities such as ILM courses, and degree programmes.
The contract with Edinburgh Woollen Mill is a grassroots Transport operation, therefore we are looking for a true operator, who will have worked their way up within a retail logistics environment, able to identify and gain buy in from drivers and transport office staff alike.
A high functioning leader, you have a knack for motivating teams of people and are able to get the best from them through implementing, tracking and analysing key KPI’s.
As most transport professionals who have worked in retail logistics will know, resilience is a key skill you will need to possess, whilst customer service focus is tantamount in this role where you will have daily interaction with the customer on site.
This is a national contract covering 4 sites across the UK, and will therefore require an element of travel.
Ideally we are looking for a national CPC holder with at least 3 years of experience in a similar position.
