Operations Manager – Daventry

An opportunity has arisen to join the senior management team at their new site at Daventry which services the e-fulfillment contract for the Tesco clothing brand.  The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for all warehousing operations to include administration, goods-in, picking, packing, despatch, returns, resource planning and warehouse management systems.  We seek a pragmatic senior warehouse professional with a deep appreciation of the importance of quality and an impressive customer service experience along with a good understanding of Continuous Improvement techniques.  Essentially you will have a sound knowledge of e-commerce fashion operations and mechanised warehousing.  Ideally you will also have hands-on experience of start-up operations.  You will be a dynamic leader with the gravitas needed to gain respect from a multi-disciplined work-force. You will need to be a financially astute and a highly analytically minded individual who is capable of planning effective financial strategies and developing KPIs to improve profitability and performance.  Essentially, you will be highly organised, commercially strong and an excellent communicator.  Good IT skills are also essential including experience of working with WMS, Red Prairie and Microsoft Office.  This is a client facing role and travel to client sites is to be expected.
