Clipper To Share Expertise In Multi-Channel Operations At Red Shift Conference

Tony Mannix, Managing Director of Clipper will address retail supply chain professionals at the Red Shift Conference 2011 early in October.

The Red Shift Conference, is RedPrairie’s annual user conference and is attended by retail and supply chain professionals and experts, who gather to learn, interact and discuss business practices, strategies and the technology required to meet the needs of today’s fast paced and ever changing world.

This year’s UK Conference will take place at the Crown Plaza, Heythorp Park on 4th October 2011.

In a joint presentation with Puneeta Mongia from PwC Retail, Tony Mannix, will examine how retailers can best meet the expectations of today’s demanding and sophisticated multi-channel consumer. The presentation will also reflect on the impact that multi-channel is having on the overall value of the retail sector, as well as on the challenges that retailers face in a rapidly changing retail environment.

Clipper specialises in multi-channel operations, and has been using RedPrairie’s Warehouse Management System (WMS) for the last 15 years to provide its retail customers with fully integrated solutions, which enable the most agile, productive and lean operations possible.

Tony Mannix, went on to say: “Over the last decade or so, there has been a tremendous shift from traditional retail channels to multi-channel retailing. The rise of the internet, sophisticated smart phone technology and social networking sites, have influenced consumers buying habits, and the most forward thinking retailers have recognised the need to adapt and optimize their supply chain infrastructures in order to meet and fulfil demands of the modern consumer.”

He continued: “Clipper has also evolved it’s business to meet the needs of its customers and their markets, working with a variety retail customers to develop end to end supply chain solutions which ensure that retailers can deliver an excellent customer experience and which maximise the growth opportunities which multi-channel retailing presents.  I am delighted to be addressing delegates at the conference, and I look forward to sharing Clipper’s expertise in multi-channel operations.”
