The UK’s leading retail and high value logistics provider, Clipper Logistics Group is celebrating today after it was named the winner of the Livery of the Year Award at the prestigious Motor Transport Awards at Grosvenor House Hotel, London on Tuesday 13th July.
Leeds based Clipper Logistics’ entry outperformed submissions from major national brands, including Nestlé Logistics (Nestlé UK) and Cert Octavian to scoop the Livery of The Year Award.
The Motor Transport Awards are the highlight in the road transport industry’s calendar and are now in their 24th successful year. Over 1,400 guests attended the awards which were designed to recognise quality and raise standards within the logistics industry.
Clipper’s new visual identity has been designed to reflect Clipper’s brand campaign ‘Logistics Evolved’. Linking this to Clipper’s ‘agility matched by ability’ brand proposition, the livery brings this to life using the concept of combining animals that represent speed and agility with ones that represent power, stability and ability, to make one image of an evolved animal hybrid.
The final winning livery designs are:
- Winged horse
- Greyhound/polar bear
The awards, which were judged by 65 independent industry figures, described Clipper’s winning livery as, “a highly quirky, stylish and unusual concept. The green and white backdrop is clean and bold, making the company highly recognisable.”
Steve Parkin, Chief Executive, Clipper Logistics said, “to win this award is a significant achievement for us, we are absolutely delighted. Two years ago we had a disjointed visual identity as a result of a series of business acquisitions. Because of this we commissioned a strategic brand consultancy to address our branding. The end result is fantastic, it really captures the essence of what we stand for.”
