Clipper Logistics Provides Mint Velvet With E-Fulfilment Solution

Clipper has been named as the logistics partner for new womenswear brand Mint Velvet. Clipper provides contract services, including receipts, quality control, storage picking and distribution, alongside an e-fulfilment solution for the retailer.

Mint Velvet is the brainchild of three women with a fashion background who were frustrated by the lack of affordable, modern, relaxed yet glamorous clothes that reflect their lifestyles. The brand has already launched two boutique-style stores in Chichester and Windsor, 14 concessions within House of Fraser department stores and a transactional website. Mint Velvet will open a further 25 locations during spring 2010.

Stuart Grant, commercial director at Mint Velvet, commented: “We have a long track record of working with Clipper following our previous relationship at Rubicon, former owner of Warehouse and Principles. We knew that we could turn to Clipper’s proven expertise with retail and garment logistics to manage our new brand, Mint Velvet. As Mint Velvet is a young and developing business, flexibility was a key need for us and Clipper’s e-fulfilment solution will enable us to provide an agile service for customers that is scalable for the future.”
