Clipper Logistics Group has signed a significant transport contract with major high street retail group Aurora Fashions. Clipper will provide dedicated, effective and robust transport solutions to service 1500 deliveries per week to stores and concessions throughout Great Britain.
Aurora Fashions owns, develops and manages the performance of some of the UK’s most respected women’s fashion names – Karen Millen, Coast, Warehouse and Oasis. The group is focused on providing an environment that enables each individual brand to flourish independently, whilst sharing a common infrastructure.
The contract, worth £3.5m per annum over a period of 5 years, will strategically position depots, offering ideal trunking and delivery solutions with extensive geographical coverage across Great Britain through the Clipper network of out bases including Brighouse, East Kilbride and Enfield. This is controlled from a main hub operation based in Stanton Harcourt near Oxford.
Derek Hunt, Operations Director Clipper, said: “This is a significant contract for us – working with Aurora Fashions is a great fit for Clipper and will add to our portfolio of major high street retailers. We are looking forward to delivering our agile solution that is aimed at improving cost and environmental efficiencies as well as expanding Aurora Fashions’ logistics coverage across the country.”
David Roberts, Distribution Director of Aurora Fashions, commented: “We consider Clipper a proven and trusted business partner, with depth of knowledge and experience within high street fashion delivery services, and with a responsive team that is ideally placed to meet our demands.”
