CLIPPER APPOINTS VANESSA HOPE AS MARKETING AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Leading retail and high value logistics provider, Clipper Logistics Group has appointed Vanessa Hope, formerly of British Land, to the role of marketing and business development manager.

Whilst at British Land, Hope was tasked with taking the consolidation centre at Sheffield’s Meadowhall Centre, The ARC, from loss to profit. Partnering with Clipper, Hope was responsible for its successful turnaround and worked with the Clipper team on this project for two years.

On her appointment, Vanessa Hope, marketing and business development manager, Clipper Logistics Group, commented: “Having worked with a variety of logistics companies in the past, I’m very well aware of Clipper’s differentiating flexibility and expertise. The ARC was the only consolidation centre in the country making a profit, so there has understandably been a great deal of interest from consultants, shopping centres and city councils right across the country. I’m really looking forward to developing links with these interested parties and demonstrating Clipper’s capability in this area.”

Prior to British Land, Hope was head of brand development at Rocom, one of the UK’s fastest growing telephone network and distributor companies, where she was responsible for fostering and managing relationships with the senior players of retail blue chips and large corporate companies.  Marketing, web build and e-fulfilment were also core areas of expertise.
